CeCC project finalist for ANZIAs

29 July 2013

The Centre for eCommerce and Communication’s (CeCC) Visualising Victoria’s Groundwater (VVG) project is a finalist in the Innovation category of the 2013 Australia and New Zealand Internet Awards (ANZIAs).

The ANZIAs celebrate the significant contributions and achievements of organisations, businesses and individuals in the development and use of the internet, in Australia and New Zealand.  The ANZIA’s are awarded annually following rigorous assessment by a judging panel comprising prominent industry leaders.  ANZIA winners will be announced in Wellington New Zealand, on 17 September.

This latest award nomination comes hot on the heels of VVGs success as a State winner in the Regional category of the iAwards.  The iAwards honour the finest achievements and innovations in the information, communication and technology industry across all facets of the economy.

The VVG project is now a 2013 national iAwards finalist and will be judged against all Australian state and territory winners in the Regional Category.  Winners will be announced at a gala event in Melbourne on 8 August.

These recent achievements further complement the national and international reputation of VVG in using interoperable technologies to successfully capture, aggregate and spatially depict Victoria's groundwater systems.
